Registry: Respect the Vault
If a guide says “just edit the registry,” ask who will fix it when it fails.
The registry is a huge hierarchical database of machine and app settings. One wrong delete can break a login or a driver. Field House treats it like a vault: know it exists, prefer Settings and documented cmdlets, do not dare random edits.
If you mustExport a
.reg backup first, change one value, reboot and test. Prefer Group Policy or Settings when they cover the same goal.
