Task Scheduler Basics

Run a trusted script when you are not watching.

Automate only scripts you already trust by hand.

Task Scheduler runs a trusted script at logon, nightly, or on idle. Use it for backups and indexes, not for surprise downloads.

Prove the script works when you run it yourself.
Create a Basic Task pointing at powershell.exe with -File "D:\full\path\script.ps1".
Check the History tab after the first run.
