About

Maker first. Research when the problem asks for it.

I am David E. Sproule. I read constantly, write fiction and nonfiction, record music, and build software for my own workflows and for other creators.

What matters to me

Novelmate Studio is the product I want in the world: local first writing with models you control. The Velvet Arrangement is the novel I am releasing under my own name. Music is how I think with sound.

The knowledge base is the long game: organize what humans know so future me (and maybe you) can find it fast.

Creative workspace
Phyllux Technologies is real work on pattern software and measured research. It is lower on my daily list than finishing books and shipping Novelmate, but it still feeds the same brain.

How I work

I iterate in public on this site and on GitHub where it makes sense. I prefer honest labels over marketing heat. If you want the deep engineering story, start at phyllux.io. If you want the human front door, you are already here.
