First pass from the workshop. Not the ending.
In the early morning, the coffee shop hummed with the clatter of cups and the hum of laptops starting up. You sit at your usual table, a stack of papers and a laptop open in front of you. The air is thick with the scent of fresh coffee and the faint hum of the espresso machine. Notifications ping on your screen, a constant reminder of the work waiting for you. You stretch, feeling the tension in your shoulders, a familiar ache from the previous night's marathon of gig work. The morning sun casts a golden light through the windows, casting long shadows on the tiled floor.
