Canada Day, a shelf not a crowd
1 July 2026. I ran titles through Novelmate so the house would have a shelf. Nobody bought a parade.
Canada Day 2026 I treated like a production day, not a launch party. The Canada Day release lane in the workshop got a Novelmate expansion pass on the pen name titles. Iris, Mara, Damien, Nyx. Pages in folders. Covers still catching up. The public domain notes for this site sit on that same date.
I wanted a Canadian shelf that looked like a house, not a dump of files. I did not have buyers. I had a studio and a holiday and a stubborn need to make the work stand up.
Amazon was not open. Stripe had not sold a stranger a book. The work was still the work. Workshop covers landed later in July. Velvet went to Kindle Direct Publishing later in July. This day was the pile, not the till.
