Opening sample
First pass from the workshop. Not the ending.
Morning light spilled into the cafe, casting a warm, golden glow that danced across the clutter of tables and chairs. The hiss of the coffee machine provided a rhythmic backdrop, mingling with the crisp air that carried the rich aroma of roasted beans. Sarah, the barista, polished a worn wooden table, her mind wandering as she observed the steady stream of customers. Her thoughts were introspective, hinting at a life filled with routine yet punctuated by moments of quiet longing or reflection. Among them was Tom, an anxious man who entered the cafe just as the bell above the door jingled.
