A BBQ and day 127
Burgers, cake, coffee, music, and so much laughing. Day 127 clean. Five months lands on October 31.
We had a BBQ at the house today.
Burgers, cake, coffee, music, and so much laughing that my phone's recorder kept missing the jokes. That was the whole point. A bunch of us around the table, talking about apartments and coffee and scooters and nothing important, and somehow that was everything.
I'm at 127 days clean today. Five months lands on October 31. I don't take that lightly, and I don't take a day like this lightly either. Food, friends, a full afternoon of noise and kindness. That's the stuff I used to miss when I was using.
Also, for anyone who asks what I'm building these days: Phyllux Tech is still going. Soft Margins books on the Coming soon wall, the Today recovery notebook, Novelmate Studio getting closer for fall or winter, and Finally Me with my partner (coming soon at finallyme.help). Start at phyllux.com, the Today page, or novelmatestudio.com.
I wrote a shorter Facebook note for the same day, and I kept a longer private journal for myself. This page is the public house version. Grateful for today. If you're in recovery and you need a quiet place to land this evening, you can message me. Or call or text 988.
